When to Use Bodyweight Workouts

Short on time and resources but looking for a killer workout? Try out some quick bodyweight workouts!

Short on Time? Traveling? Short on Cash? No Problem!

Some of the TOP reasons given for not working out are lack of time and/or funds to pay for a gym membership. Bodyweight workouts can totally eliminate both of those problems! They can be done absolutely anywhere, in a short amount of time, and they’re 100% FREE! And everyone LOVES free, am I right?!

Bodyweight Exercises. Why we LOVE ’em!

Bodyweight workouts are great for all fitness levels and really help to nail down the basics for beginners. They’re also easy to adapt so you can get an amazing workout at whatever fitness level you’re at. If done in a safe, smart way, bodyweight workouts can also be a great option for someone who recently overcame an injury, because you control the resistance and reps and there is no added weight for the body to have to deal with. Traveling? Bodyweight exercises are perfect because all you need is YOU. Don’t get me wrong, I seriously LOVE me some weights, but I love bodyweight workouts too for when weights just aren’t an option. They can seriously be a life saver!

When to Use Bodyweight Workouts?

  • If you’re new to strength training
  • If you’re traveling or don’t have access to a gym
  • If you’re just getting back into exercise
  • If you’re experienced in strength training & just looking for way to switch things up
  • If you’re looking for a quick, efficient workout that can be done anywhere!

FitTip Before Starting

Be sure to perform all exercises in a slow and controlled manner. If possible, workout in front of a mirror so that you can check in on your form to be sure you’re keeping great form  throughout the workout.
